Yes, once I saw additional pics, I noticed the ascot was there…however, it's like a faint baby/sky blue color and not that bright royal blue of the original.
Like most Haslabs, I'll make a last-minute decision on purchase. My main sticking point is "do I want something that big when it's still not a great scale". There is one promo pic of Wild Weasel in the cockpit with the camera in tight on the front and you can tell he just BARELY fits in that thing. He's going to be wearing it like tube top.
]]>My biggest gripe, despite how great she looks, is that this is Baroness #5 (and I do already have 1–4) when it could've been anyone else, a generic airwoman or Raven or maybe a Cobra ground control guy with the batons to signal for takeoffs and landings, etc. A pilot Baroness could've easily been a single release, or a pack-in with a smaller aircraft that hits online retailers like the Vamp and Stinger. A fourth figure would've really sweetened the deal as far that goes, but I am somewhat optimistic that Hasbro will add something else in in the final days of the project.
Weasel is my all-time favorite character so I was never going to display him inside the cockpit, he's going on the main shelf next to Storm Shadow and Bludd, though I do get what you mean about the cockpit looking small. Pilot Baroness would look less awkward scale-wise for sure.
]]>For Buzzer, I made some aviators and 3D printed them and just glued them on. Looks a lot better. I actually sell the aviators, a proper chainsaw gun I designed, and a magnetically attached fuel can/pack on my Etsy store. Look for titansmaker if you are interested. The trick to the aviators is to use a pen with chrome paint (like one sold by Molatow) and make them reflective.
]]>The Rattler funded in under 24 hours, much like the past two Joe Haslabs, I don't think we need to worry about getting to Baroness. But I do think Hasbro might start to when this thing is at like 22 or 23,000 buys with a week left on the countdown and they start considering how they maybe should've included a fourth figure so it could match the Dragonfly or the HISS numbers.
That might be when we get a hasty generic female Cobra pilot using the Valkyrie buck or something along those lines. Also, Weasel does have his ascot. Check the promo pics.
